My dissertation titled: "Women’s Intervention into Men’s Clothing: An Analysis of the 70s, 80s and 21st Century Women’s Sartorial Within Films". This enabled me to gain a wider understanding of the history of women's suits and clothing that I did not know about in detail, which I found really interesting. I have always been interested in modern fashion but this enabled me to appreciate how past fashion has shaped what we wear today. The analysation of the three films made it interesting and showed me the trends at the times of the films, allowing for comparison between them. Feminist theory was used throughout to show the rise of women's suits as the years progress and overall was a thoroughlly enjoyable project and topic.
